Praying Together

Give me one hundred preachers who fear nothing but sin and desire nothing but God, and I care not a straw whether they be clergymen or laymen; such alone will shake the gates of hell and set up the kingdom of heaven on earth. God does nothing but in answer to prayer.

—John Wesley

E.M. Bounds sums up best the necessity of a church filled with people who pray:

A prayerless Christian will never learn God’s truth; a prayerless ministry will never be able to teach God’s truth….Hell has enlarged herself and filled her dire caves in the presence of the dead service of a prayerless Church. – Bounds

Faith Community Church does not want to see a day go by without the presence of God and His manifest power working through the church body.  This is why we pray.

We pray for families: to be made whole, to teach kids to uphold God’s Word, to experience His peace, to walk in love…

We pray for the church body: to be a light in the darkness of life, to be real and authentic, to be filled with the Spirit’s power, to share its love through its witness of God’s…

We pray for our community: to be united in Christ, to experience the fullness of God, to know the glory of a loving God, to find unity in following Christ…

We pray because God is moved by a prayer-filled church body.  He doesn’t need us to pray but loves our prayer.  He doesn’t need prayer to move but His love moves because of prayer – because He loves to love.

If you need prayer, please join us each Sunday at 9 am to experience God’s presence through prayer or send us a prayer request to be added to our prayer list.
